In America Abortion is NOT against the law!

Many people on the Pro-Life (anti-abortion) side clearly have deep convictions. It may not be as clear to some that the convictions of Pro-Choice people are just as strong and as deeply rooted in moral principles. We, too, are motivated
In America, if you want an abortion, and you can afford the cash for it, you are allowed to do so. It is NOT against the law!

If, on the other hand, you believe abortion to be wrong, and do not wish to have one, or have one you love have one and can convince her not to do so, then you are free not to do so.
It isn't murder, because there are no human victims. It isn't genocide.

Obviously, there are different beliefs about when life begins, based on different faiths and doctrines. The Bible defines life as beginning at "breath." (Strangely, Christian fundamentalists who want to outlaw abortion are ignoring the Bible on this point.) The Roman Catholic Church officially says it is at conception. Some Protestants believe it is at viability. Judaic teachings place it at birth.

But there can only be one legal definition of the beginning of life (pertaining to a given set of circumstances). So some people's faith is always bound to differ from the legal definition. It is important, therefore, that the legal definition respect and accommodate a range of beliefs.

That doesn't mean everyone is going to agree about other people's actions. But it allows each individual to act according to her own conscience, within the scope where we reasonably differ. After all, which is of overriding moral importance: agreeing with another's actions or living one's own life according to one's conscience?

The Supreme Court defined the beginning of life as first breath. This definition respects and accommodates individual convictions and faith. It allows a strict Catholic, for example, to choose not to elect abortion. It accommodates both those who regard the embryo as inviolable and those who reserve the option of abortion.

Once again, I would ask this question, and I do wish I could get an answer to it - if you thought the Republican and Conservative politicians cared about abortion, why in the world did they not do something to end it over the course of the many years they had a working majority in our Congress?

Before the Supreme Court legalized abortion in 1973, an estimated 1.2 million women obtained illegal abortions annually.

And women died from unsafe, illegal abortions. Women bled to death. Women died from unsterilized conditions, died of massive infections. Women died and women were maimed. Each year, thousands of wives and daughters, mothers and aunts, perished from botched illegal abortions.

This is another area where pro-choice is truly pro-life: pro-woman's life. Pro-choicers ardently care about this tragic and needless loss of women's lives.Anti-choicers ought not fool themselves into thinking that they will "convert" people to their view.

Caroline Kennedy is just a democratic puppet.

Does this Caroline Kennedy for Senate thing not prove, beyond any shadow of a doubt, that the Democrats are the party of elite privilege?

Has Caroline Kennedy ever run a business? No. Has she ever run for office? No. Has she confronted corruption in her own party? No Has she ever had to worry about keeping to a budget or confronting any of the challenges middle class Americans face? Heavens, no. If crawling around the Oval Office on your hands and knees and playing underneath the President’s desk qualifies you for the Senate — let’s appoint Monica Lewinsky as the next Senator from New York.

No, her sole qualification is her blood-connection to America’s elite political aristocracy. 232 years after the Declaration of Independence, we’re back to this: government by royalty.

Caroline Kennedy had lunch with Al Sharpton at Sylvia’s in Harlem yesterday. What better evidence that she is “of the people” do you bigots need?

Another one of Ms. Kennedy’s “qualifications” is she is a busy Mom…so of course she didn’t have time to vote….you are only “disqualified” to be Vice President or President if you are a busy Mom with five children, one of whom is a special needs child, held elected office, run a business with her husband, are conservative, pro life, have common sense values and wait are named Sarah Palin.

She’s a Kennedy, and that is all that matters

Do any Pro-lifers remember why abortion became legalized?

I am sick and tired of rehashing the past; and the fact that the law is saving the lives of the mothers. (Who were dying too!) Do people not realize that making abortion illegal will not stop them from happening, and that we will end up with 2 dead people instead of one?
Defending a woman's right to choose is not always popular, but I do believe that it's the right way to go.
I am pro-choice because “pro-life” policy treats women as nothing more than the property of the state and the old men who run it.

The Obama Coin. Delusions of Grandeur, Rip Off, BS Or All

TV ads tout a "genuine" U.S. Inaugural Presidential Dollar showing President-elect Barack Obama depicted in "glorious full color" for just $9.95, plus shipping and handling.

A coin-collecting expert says the gold-dipped, painted coins are nothing more than a trinket, and the U.S. Mint -- the only official purveyor of U.S. currency -- says buyer beware.

"They are worth the face value of the coin. If the coin says 25 cents, it's worth a quarter," says Scott Travers, author of the Coin Collector's Survival Manual and a New York City coin dealer.

The U.S. Mint last month issued a warning that the heavily advertised commemorative coins -- produced by several private companies in various designs -- are not official U.S. Treasury products.

My feeling is that it's a phony BS rip off, just as he is!

Before we know it, his picture will be on our 3 dollar bills

When the Anti-Choice People Choose Choice.

Abortion is a highly personal decision that many women are sure they'll never have to think about until they're suddenly faced with an unexpected pregnancy. But this can happen to anyone, including women who are strongly anti-choice. So what does an anti-choice woman do when she experiences an unwanted pregnancy herself? Often, she will grin and bear it, so to speak, but frequently, she opts for the solution she would deny to other women -- abortion.
From a legal perspective it IS NOT a human life until birth! That's why its legal, thankfully!! I am so glad we had smart judges in the Supreme Court at the time who didn't get blinded by their beliefs but applied the law as it should have been. Abortion will always be legal because it's a LEGAL issue not moral, ethical or religious, those are reserved for each particular person to use as their OWN compass in making decisions. Please I don't need your compass in order to make a decision I can make up my own mind. Most people know what is right for them you pro-lifers do not have the right to infringe on the free will of others.
So if you people that insist on infringing your beliefs on others, why don't you guys pool your money together and build a home to house all of these unwanted babies? NO of course not the State has to deal with them or maybe they can go stay with some abusive foster parents don't that sound like a wonderful life. I don't know what all the controversy is about, it's so simple. IT"S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS WHAT A STRANGER DOES WITH THEIR LIFE!
I do not wish to rid the world of religion, not at all!!! In fact, just the opposite. My whole point is that people should live and let live. You have your strong beliefs and that is great for you but it's not what I believe. However I do not push my beliefs and opinions on people. I am pro-choice yes but I do not try and convert anybody to my belief as you people do nor do I try to get laws changed in order for people to be forced to live by my moral code as you people do. I could care less what people believe and how they live their life as long as it doesn't directly affect me. Some stranger getting an abortion does not affect me in the least and they have a constitutional right to free choice. So my question is this! You have your beliefs which dictates how you live your life and a part of that is your stance on abortion. You disagree with it because of your belief and thats fine and dandy. But WHY should the rest of the FREE world have live by your moral code? Because you believe abortion is wrong in your eyes doesn't mean it is! And to answer your question the fact that our first laws were based on religion makes me sick and I am glad that our forefathers realized that there needed to be a separation of the two. In my opinion the country being run by BELIEVERS who cannot separate the two would be hell on earth. Laws are in place to make sure that the people have the right to freedom of choice and that our person, property and liberty are protected. Your beliefs should come into play when making choices for YOURSELF not other people. Hopefully now you can understand my position, ONCE again so we are clear I do not wish to eradicate religion just the people that think they are better than others because of "their" religion and try to force others to live by their moral code which stems for their religious beliefs. A woman has the right to her own body. The government does not have the right to tell a woman what she can or cannot do with her body. This is persona. and a medical decision. Not a political or religious one.
It’s up to the Patient and Doctor. Not the Government. And NOT anyone else.

Fire distroys Sarah Palin's church.

Sarah Palin, her husband Todd and up to 1,000 fellow parishioners will worship in a local school this morning after a suspicious fire virtually destroyed the Wasilla Bible Church early Saturday. The Rev. Larry Kroon said some parishioners were in the church on Nicola Avenue at the time the fire was noticed but no one was injured. Firefighters battled for about eight hours in minus-20 degree temperatures.
This woman and her family have been treated beyond bad from the very beginning she was selected by McCain. I can understand people being loyal to Obama, but this obsession to destroy Palin based on that loyalty is extremely disturbing!! To torch a house of prayer, because a candidate when against their candidate?!! Something is immorally wrong with this. It is really pathetic that someone would do something like that. She doesn't deserve this and her church certainly doesn't either.

Excerpts From An A-Holes Blog

Yes, this was found on a blog that was meant to criticize ME...
"With the notable exception of Erik who is genuinely pro-choice in my book Bob, Myself, TR and the rest of the gang reek of pro-abortionism which is their right of course but they're not really honest about it. Mention religion and they go into some kind of epileptic seizure thing, it's amazing those well into adulthood can still talk this way and it's indeed very tempting to make a personal judgement against them and the rest of the pro-abortion movement but I'll refrain, as they say it ain't Christian. None of my points were addressed AT ALL and if you said you'd pray for them they'd get even more unhinged. Also, regarding this issue and others like it civility is overrated, needed of course and you should try but a civil presentation of your views will not convince them, they're really not looking for a better tone although they may say so, they really hate you. If anything I think pro-lifers have been way too civil for way too long and should kind of man up about it and jab back if need be. It's been too often said imo that debates about abortion give off more heat than light, I say so be it it's not the light they're after anyway. And btw when you're a guest at somebody's house and have to use the facilities flush after you're done and wipe the rim, put the seat back down and leave it as you came in, you're a guest after all. Tell the owner you had a nice meal and a good time and go home. So that's that."

And this MORON ASS-FACED MONKEY had the nerve to write this after he wrote a comment like this..."I have to be careful getting up and not slip on all this emotional diarrhea, mental spasms, anti-religious ejaculations, incoherence and always always the spelling and grammatical errors. It doesn't pay to bang your keys in a hurry like an angry monkey. So what's up tomorrow, the projectile vomiting?"

Now mind you rectum face,
You said "Mention religion and they go into some kind of epileptic seizure thing"

I never attacked anyone's religion, what I said was that some people use religion to justify their beliefs about being pro-life.

And you said that " I think pro-lifers have been way too civil for way too long and should kind of man up about it and jab back if need be"

Would you call bombing and shooting people at Abortion Clinics being "way too civil" LMAO!

Some bloggers are just idiots, aggressive, liars, and rude !

I have read many blogs and then gone down to the comments and i sense that many of you are more than very fair. . We are all here to express ourselves so let us be, we try just as hard as you do and a lot of us who read your blogs do not leave aggressive, rude and stupid comments on your blogs unless they have a strong point to prove and believe in what they have said. So if we do have something to say and it IS constructive but maybe a bit rough to read, then please grow up take the comments for what they are and give other commenter's a break.
Unfortunately, when you blog in a public forum (such as this one) you need to grow a very thick skin, because you expose yourself to people with all kinds of opinions.
I just read a blog that I have been commenting on
and I got ticked off with the response of the blogger.
He is now moderating comments because he didn't like the comment that i left there yesterday. It ruffled his feathers because I didn't agree with his good friends opinion.
Does he want a "Yes sir" type of blog or one where people can express their opinions no matter what they may be?
Isn't this still America?
The phenomena of the internet, is our ability to properly express the tone and manner in which we are saying things. The anonymity also allows people to speak in a manner in which they wouldn't dream of in public.
So he just got ticked off with one of the comments made that opposed his or one of his buddies.
So I ask you, why are some bloggers such idiots?

Did Obama sit in the Senate for all those yesrs and "ALSO" see and hear NOTHING?

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested on charges that he conspired to sell Barack Obama's U.S. Senate seat, among other misdeeds. At first the president-elect tried to distance himself from the issue: "It is a sad day for Illinois. Beyond that, I don't think it's appropriate for me to comment." But it quickly became clear that Mr. Obama would have to say more, and yesterday he called for Mr. Blagojevich to resign.
Obamas chickens are coming roost.

Monday, December 8, 2008

Jessie Jackson Jr is the one who was -- according to Blagojevich -- willing to supply campaign cash in exchange for the Senate seat.

Jesse Jackson, Jr. is "Senate Candidate Five," the one who was -- according to Blagojevich -- willing to supply campaign cash in exchange for the Senate seat.
I almost gagged when they showed Jesse Jackson Sr. shedding tears at Obama's election night speech in Grant Park. Like he didn't try and sabotage Obama every step of the way. Jackson and Sharpton - all they know how to do is be hypocritical and divide people.
And by the way, didn't his father want to cut off Barack Obama's balls?

Why can't people mind their own business?

Since I left New York City, I notice that people really don't know how to stay in their own business. When I work out there's an older person always asking me why I lift so heavy, or why I'm always with a different girl or whatever the reason... I'M SO FREAKING TIRED OF PEOPLE'S NOSES IN MY BUSINESS!!!!
Since I left New York, I've noticed that the smaller the city, the more people stick their noses to where it don't belong... and it seems that it's always the older crowd... I'm 33 and I don't care what people do unless it's really something dangerous and concerning.
The possible reason older folks nag on you all the time is things are a-changing' and they don't like what they don't understand. That will happen anywhere though. Small towns are usually more traditional in everything; the Bible, Patriotism, morals(which some are out-dated), more focused on family values and maintaining a family friendly atmosphere. All that stuff is OK; but not when someone tries to impose things onto me and tries to make me feel shameful if i don't believe.
But I kind of laugh it off and just say screw em!

Joke? Or assaults on freedom of speach?

Pelosi, Reid, et al want to resurrect the “Fairness Doctrine” to eliminate any criticisms of them or their programs. It is nothing more and nothing less than suppression of free speech.

Was Sandra Bernhardt “joking” when she said she wanted Sarah Palin gang-raped. No!

Was Randi Rhodes was “joking” when called for Bush and Cheney’s assassination. No!

Was Ann Coulter joking calling that fag John Edwards a “fag”..No!

Joe Biden was “joking” when he bragged about Delaware being a slave state… oh, wait, he wasn’t.
